School Projects in the Community
The European Academy organises a wide range of school projects designed
with great flexibility to suit the individual needs of school budgets
and class programmes.
Typically, a class of students and their teachers work with our staff
to create a week-long programme. Students are
given an opportunity to learn more about their areas of interest. These
could include:
- Justice and the Rule of Law
- Social issues
- Freedom of the Press
- Theatre and Dramatic Arts
- Visual Art
- Education
- Sport
During the course, students undertake a number of visits or attend
sessions relating to their chosen
topic. Students have the chance to
improve their language and understanding of culture in ways not usually
available to those who come as tourist. Indeed, many who are close to
school-leaving age use the opportunity to gain information and ideas
about their future careers. School projects are based in West
London and students usually stay with selected local families.
