Planning your School Programme

The timetable that follows gives an example of a School Project Programme. As you read, please think of it as a guide only, to give you ideas of what might be suitable for you and your students. The Academy aims to be as flexible as possible to design a programme that suits your school needs and budget.

The Academy works with many schools in different European countries and all have slightly different programmes. For example, some programmes are shorter or longer than a week; some choose fewer cultural visits and instead the Academy organises speakers or a seminar; some change the accommodation and the full board options.

The Academy recommends a minimum overall group size of 20 students and 2 teachers but can easily cater for larger groups. Students are usually aged between 16 and 19 years of age (although we occasionally do have younger students) and all must have a reasonable knowledge of the English language, as all work will be conducted in English. The Academy arranges three visits per student; a group visit; an introductory session and a final feedback and student presentation session. Most schools then arrange other visits in any spare time. Some schools take the students to the theatre one evening - and the Academy can get preferential group rates for theatre tickets.
